About Animal Services

In an emergency at home or away, what will happen to your non-human family members?  The answer might be our newly formed High Country Fire-Rescue division known as Animal Services.

Our newly formed division director is Kat Stiver, a trained Emergency Animal Medical Technician.  Our Animal Services offer various emergency services for a variety of animals, which will allow emergency and law enforement personnel to focus on the “human side” of those in need.

In HCFR’s area, Animal Services volunteers are able to locate and offer safe haven for animals caught in critical situations in which their human may not be able to care for them.
