Happy Birthday to Us

Today we celebrate another year of fire and emergency services within our rural community and traveling public.

We look forward to another year of responses to all the needs within our area.

Happy July 4th!

As this holiday weekend winds down, we take time to remember all the past and current members of the military for their sacrifices to keep us free.

And a thank you goes out to all that protect us each and every day….firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical responders.

We’ll be participating in the annual Williams 4th of July parade….give us a shout-out if you’re along the parade route.

Finally, here’s hoping you have a safe return home.  Buckle up!  Move left and slow down if you encounter emergency vehicles along the roadside.

Reminder:  all restrictions are still in place.  NO FIRES.  See our earlier posts with details of these restrictions.

Wishing everyone a safe holiday weekend….

Please remember our entire area has one form or another of burning restrictions, NO personal FIREWORKS of any type, and vehicle restrictions within the national forests. Read our earlier posts and visit Kaibab and Coconino NF’s websites concerning updates and clarifications for the national forest lands, especially if you’ll be camping in the area.

Weather pattern changes are a possibility this weekend as well, so be sure to remain updated as this develops.

And, if you encounter a firefighter, wildland crew, or other safety personnel, give them a “thank you” wave or thumbs up for working hard during these past and current critical days of fires, threats of fires, and windy conditions.

Slow down, enjoy the drive and stay safe out there everyone. We want you to return home with memories of a great time gathering with family and friends.

Remembering the reason for this holiday weekend

Hoping everyone in our area and beyond have had a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.  

As this weekend comes to a close, please remember the reason for this day as we honor all the past and present service and sacrifices (click to view video)….we commend the support of family, friends and community to those many miles away as they serve in the military. 

Remember:  Ckick it or ticket!  Designated driver.  Slow down and pull over for emegency vehicles if encountered!  Don’t become a statistic this holiday weekend!
